The Skin On The Bottom Of My Gut (the Area

Question: The skin on the bottom of my gut (the area where hair grows just above the penis) is brownish-red. I don't think it is shaving irritation because I haven't shaved in over a month. It is not painful. I am not sure how long it has looked like that.

Detailed Answer:
Hi....
Welcome to Ask a doctor.
I am Dr Ajeet XXXXXXX
As per picture sent by you,It is a rash caused by groin irritation and infection.
It would can be due to multiple reasons like sweat build-up ,suboptimal hygiene,
excess friction due to exercise or sex, allergies to soaps, shampoos, or hygeine sprays,
washing powders used to wash undergarments,
new ,synthetic underwears etc.
If I receive such patient in my clinic,I take a detailed history and emphasize on use of cotton under wears, avoid acidic soaps and avoid rough sex.
I prescribe them hydrocortisone cream to ease irritation and inflammation in addition to use of a cool compress or an ice pack.
Ice packs should never be placed directly on the skin, but should be wrapped in something soft like a tea towel.
I also advise a soothing moisturiser lotions.
keep the area clean and dry.
Hope that I have answered your query.
Regards
