Brief Answer:
Can be arthritis or bursitis.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
The pain in the knee that you have specially while getting up is likely to be related to arthritic changes in the knee joint. This can also happen due to an inflammation of the bursa- bursitis. A direct examination and X-ray will help in proper diagnosis. Till then you can do a hot compress and take mild pain killers for relief.
I hope this answers your query.
