There Is Bump Has Been There For A Long Time And Has Never Changed And Is Whitish/flesh Colored And Soft. I Have A Similar One On The Tip Of My Nose Which My Dermatologist Said Was A Fibrous Papule. Should I Be Worried?

Question: Hello...I posed this question the other day, but have now been able to take a better image of the spot. I’m attaching a picture of the side of my nose and have circled a small bump located on it. The bump has been there for a long time and has never changed and is whitish/flesh colored and soft. I have a similar one on the tip of my nose which my dermatologist said was a fibrous papule. She had used electrocautery over a year ago on both spots to “dehydrate” them, and they did lessen in size. I actually had a full skin cancer screening today, and the physicians assistant at my dermatologists office indicatd she wasn’t completely sure what the spot was, most likely a fibrous papule or inclusion cyst, but that it wasn’t worrisome at all. Can you please take a look and let me know what you feel it may be? Thank you!!

Looks like fibrous papule

Hi,
I have gone through your complaints and reviewed the attached photograph.
It looks like a fibrous papule in this picture.
Don’t worry as it is a benign lesion and won’t be causing any trouble.

Hi Dr. Asmeet! Thank you once again for your expertise and kind reassurances! I think I can put the worry over that little spot to rest now! My problem is that I sometimes can’t resist the urge to google these things, and what I end up seeing on google are images where a little spot turns out to be something ominous, which certainly stokes my health anxiety! No more googling for me and I need to rest assured with the fact I’ve had a full skin cancer screening by my dermatologist. Your reassurances to me with all of my questions now and in the past have been priceless and I cannot thank you enough!
