This Is Embarrassing Which Is Why I Haven't Contacted My

Question: This is embarrassing which is why I haven't contacted my primary physician. I have a few boils on my buttocks that I have been trying to treat for the last few days with warm compresses and witch XXXXXXX One of them has reduced in size and seems to be almost gone. But two of them are still there and are seeping but because they are on opposite sides inside the "crack area", they are touching each other and I feel like this might be preventing them from healing. I need advice on how to treat them and perhaps I need an antibiotic. I am a very clean person but I have had these before and they typically go away relatively quickly. I have been reading that they could be caused by an infected hair follicle. I am a very healthy person and I don't take any medication.

Brief Answer:
Liquid Betadine and sterile gauze as described

Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Noted the history well and understood the concerns.
Yes, you are right, the boils touching each other in crack area will take more time due to its odd position, friction and least aeration.
I would advise you the following in such a situation:
Clean the area with Liquid Betadine (Povidone Iodine), let it dry and use sterile gauze in between them. This will make the area sterile and the gauze will absorb any secretions, will separation both the boils.
Antibiotic needs a valid prescription of your Doctor.

I hope this answer helps you.
Please do the above things and give feedback.
