This Past XXXXXXX I Started Having Food Sensitivities And Reactions
Question: This past XXXXXXX I started having food sensitivities and reactions and had to eliminate certain foods that caused histamine reactions. In the process, I reduced some meats that gave me some reactions. Because of the reduced protein intake, I now have muscle wasting and loss from protein malnutrition. The burning is mainly on my back as my body is now utilizing amino acids from body more than from my diet. I have tried taking in more protein, but I can't overcome the muscle burning that is happening. I'm also having irritation in my eyes, ears, and burning on my abdomen. The back and sides of my neck are also burning. It is very painful and I am reaching out for help immediately. I have tried amino acid supplements but they only minimally work. I would appreciate any useful input that could help me get more amino acids into the body as quickly as possible.
Brief Answer:
Please check your Vitamin B12 levels.
Detailed Answer:
Hi I am Dr Gopal Goel , Orthopedic Surgeon.
I have read the query- you have two main problems:
1. Loss of body protein causing loss in muscle mass- This can be overcome by taking protein supplements which are available all over the world over the counter.
2. Burning sensations in the back and neck ,abdomen and other parts. This could be due to deficiency of vitamin B12- due to diet restrictions.
Please get a blood test of vitamin b12 and depending on the report we can start supplements for this also.
Thanks for the question. I hope to have answered your query. Please feel free to ask any other question.
