Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome to "Ask a Doctor" service,
I carefully read your query and understand your concern. The symptoms you are experiencing may be due to some hormonal changes. It is good you already had the thyroid checked and it is normal.
There are a few other hormones that need to be considered, especially those produced by the surenal glands (glands over the kidneys). The main hormone that these glands produce is cortisol.
Cortisol may cause a patient to feel fatigued, may affect the body temperature and also the blood pressure, hair, and nails.
It might be good for you to have a thorough check of the hormone levels such as cortisol, testosterone, DHEA (to make sure the ovaries are not producing extra hormones that may cause hair growth) and also the metabolic panel (especially electrolytes such as Na+ and K+, which are the main electrolytes affected by surenal gland hormones).
I would recommend you to have a check with an endocrinologist and make sure that the above tests are done (he may also order some extra ones).
I hope this is helpful and answers your query. I am at your disposition in case more assistance is needed.
Regards,
Dr. Antoneta Zotaj, General and Family Physician.
