Tingling And Numbness Right Side Mainly. Numb Right Armpit Shock

Brief Answer:
patient with multiple symptoms
Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome to Ask a Doctor. I have read your query and here is my advice,
I shall provide a number of possibilities. I am not certain that I will be able to place everything into one illness.
Certainly if you are having neurological feelings on one side of you body, you could have a stroke.
Having no appetite and not being able to sleep might indicate:
-depression
-cancer
- anxiety
-medication
How long have you had these symptoms?
What is your age? Any chronic illness?
I shall wait for you to answer these questions. Or any more you may have.

Since the middle of September. Clinic said it was swimmers ear. Didn’t go away 2nd doctor exactly the same. I have an apt the 26 with ENT and I will scream if it’s same diagnosis. This is not just an outer ear infection!! I’m 51. Post menopause. Another thing is buzzing all the time.
Brief Answer:
additional history provided by patient.
Detailed Answer:
Welcome back. Your second response came in after I had signed off for the night. I apologize for making you wait.
You have auditory sensations as well as abnormal bodily sensations. This indicates a neurological or psychological problem and as such I suggest you be evaluated by a neurologist.
Of course this doesn't account for your anorexia and insomnia.
Hope I have been able to point you in the right direction for further help. If you do not have any clarifications to ask, you can close the discussion and rate the answers. Wish you good health.

Seeing an ENT. And not anorexic. Hard time chewing on the right side because of the ear pain. Wow!
Brief Answer:
difficulty chewing, as well
Detailed Answer:
Welcome once again, Ms. Lornadune.
With your last reply, I would like you to consider temporomandibular joint syndrome(TMJ). The TMJ connects the lower jaw(the mandible) to the temporal bone of the skull in front of the ear. Some facial muscles that control chewing are also attached to the lower jaw.
This condition causes jaw pain, pain with chewing, and the feeling of ear pain as pain in the jaw radiates up to the ear.
Causes of the pain may include:
-arthritis of joint
-infection
- cancer
- bone deformity(present since birth)
-clenching teeth while awake(such as chewing gum, pencils, fingernails)
Some home treatments are warm water compress over jaw and over-the-counter pain med. I hope these can give you relief until the ENT doctor evaluates you.
Please let me know if you have additional questions.
