Today's My 2nd Day Of Period , I'm Suffering From
Question: Today's my 2nd day of period , I'm suffering from severe menstrual cramps and the blood flow is comparatively less and I am getting blood clots.
Brief Answer:
Dysmenorrhea....
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
It could just be a menstrual irregularity secondary to hormonal change. Have you taken any hormonal pills during the cycle? Do you use regular birth control pills?
If the pain is severe and affecting day to day activity, I would suggest to take antispasmodic medication like tab Meftal Spas - not more than twice daily after food.
If the sever pain persist beyond the 4th day, you may have to visit a doctor for an ultrasound scan of the abdomen and pelvis.
Hope this helps. Let me know if you need clarifications.
Regards

Meftal spas twice daily...

Apologies for the late reply.
It is not uncommon to have blood clots and abdominal cramps after 13 weeks late period. The changes are result of hormonal and menstrual irregularities. But the amount of bleeding and pain should start to reduce by 3rd / 4th day. It would be wise to consult a doctor if the bleeding / blood clots and severe pain persists beyond 3rd / 4th day.
Meftal spas contains antispasmodic drug and a pain killer. You may take it twice daily. On rare occasion I suggest it three times daily. It should preferably be taken after food, else it invariably cause gastritis. Most women tolerate it well and there are no side effects reported unless the medications are over dosed.
If the pain is very severe, you may want to try injectable medications at a nearby clinic / hospital. Alternatively tablet buscopan may be used after discussing with your local doctor.
I encourage you drink plenty of fluids. Eat a healthy diet. Iron rich food supplements is recommended.
Hope this helps. Let me know if you need any other information.
