Took A Platter Of Baby Back Ribs Over To The

Question: Took a platter of baby back ribs over to the neighbors. He barely opened the door and I stretched out to give it to him. He text me and said he (quote) " had ""A"" virus March 25th. (unknown) Lasted 10 days (9th). Never had a cough so they would not test me. Had a fever, body aches and super fatigued." Question ---Been almost a week since he's been over it, he barely opened his door, I "stretched out" and handed him the ribs. There was NO coughing, NO sneezing, etc. Crack the door open, hand him the ribs and leave. Am I still fairly safe??? and IF -- IF he did have that Coronavirus, could he still have it??? Very concerned.

Just concerned if I am still fairly safe.

I can understand your concern
According to the current studies of the patients with COVID 19 around the world it has been seen that to be infected, one should be in close contact with others for more than one hour. But if there is no cough or sneeze then the possibility of the person to be infected is decreased compared with those contacts who have an actual cough, sneezes, and fever.
So in your case, I don't think you have been infected and in my opinion, you are safe.
If he did have the Coronavirus according to the history of his symptoms, he, fortunately, has a very mild form of the disease.
Nevertheless, the point is that if his actual condition is good then no worries, he might not have it for sure.
So in conclusion regarding your concern, this seems safe. Just try to maintain a safe distance from others even if they have symptoms or not.
