It was half a bottle of laxative with a lot of water
Brief Answer:
24-48 hours.
Detailed Answer:
Hello and thanks for choosing " Ask a Doctor" service for your query,
Have seen your details,
Half bottle of laxative is overdose.
Maximum dose should not exceed 30-40 ml.
The medicine would remain in your body for 24 -48 hours.
However nausea is a result of overdose of medication.
Take Zofran 4mg three times a day(Over the counter) to control nausea.
Medicines would be out of your system in 24-48 hours.
Hope I was helpful.
Thanks.

Could I take pepto bismol instead of the zofran? I couldn’t find it at the pharmacy.
Brief Answer:
Follow up.
Detailed Answer:
Hello again,
Yes if it's not available at pharmacy you could take peptobismol 2tsf three times a day.
However if possible any anti emetic aur anti nausea agent would be good for you (you can ask your pharmacist about that).
Thanks.
