Trying To Conceive. Scan Showed Womb Lining Of 11 Mm On 15th Day Of Cycle. Any Ideas?
Question: i have a thick womb lining i had a scan on day 15 of my cycle and it was 11mm does it or can it keep growing all cycle as i want to get pregnant. would Adenomyosis or emdemetroisi show up on a blood test if you had your hormones tested. slao i have pains down my thighs through out my whole cycle any ideas
Hi,
Thanks for your query.
1) It is good to have thick lining of 11 mm on 15th day of your cycle. It shows your estrogen hormones are good.
2) Adenomyosis or endometriosis can be diagnosed by ultrasound and confirmed by laparoscopy.
3) The pain you have could be due to endometriosis also. Please get ultrasound to get the diagnosis confirmed.
4) Please get follicular size also tested during ultrasound. Regular follicular monitoring would help you in conceiving as it will predict best time to have intercourse.

Hi,
I understand the pain of undergoing loss of babies / fetus. Following is my reply:
1) Since you have already got the scan in which there is no mention of endometriosis. So if it is transvaginal scan done by an expert, no need to worry. If not please get TVS done.
2) If you are having endometrial lining of 22mm means very thick. It needs to be treated.
3) To get pregnant you request your doctor to start you on follicular stimulating hormones to get good size dominant egg.
4) Once you get good size egg (about 18 mm), please ask your doctor to do IUI (Intrauterine insemination). This has high pregnancy rate than IUI.
I hope I answered your query.

i had the scan done by a normal songraphar and have had transvaginal and over the tummy as i have a tilited uterus so found it hard to see by doing a normal ultrasound i have been told my back and leg pain is mechanical back
Hi, I have read your query. It would be helpful if you can attach your scan reports and any other reports and send me. I can read reports & provide you accurate advice. Because bent uterus is something i need to see and comment. Regards, Dr.Mahesh Koregol

i have nothing i can send to you but i can tell you that my ovaries and womb have no florids abrashons all is fine they said apart from womb linging was thick but is good now
Hi, if everything is fine according to you, i suggest you go ahead with the procedure i explained you previously. Its called IUI (Intrauterine Insemination). It will help in oincreasing your chances of pregnancy. Since you are trying naturally and unable to conceive. So please go for IUI. Regards, Dr. Mahesh Koregol
