Question: Two questions can I take Thuja with Eliquis?

Second question... I was having dizziness and like vertigo, eye focus problems, and when have blood drawn it was very thin and took longer to stop...just didn’t feel good and the cardiologist NP did lower my eliquis to 2.5 mg twice a day.. I felt so much better. I had also lost 30lbs then.

Recently saw my electrical cardiologist. I had gained the weight back ( I weigh about 270) he put me back on 5 mg of eliquis twice a day?

The symptoms are coming back the dizziness vertigo eyes sometime my tongue feels slightly swollen after taking doesn’t last long and my lip feels numb again off and on.

I was original out in Eliquis for AFIB episode. It was determine that the AFIB was based on sleep Apnea. I have worn a CPAP for over a year. I had a 30 Day monitor that showed no AFIB that was about 8 mo ago. In the last six months I have notice 1 AFIB episode that lasted less than a minute and just coughed out of it.

Recently since the increase on the eliquis my pancreas showed inflamed situation but blood test and ultra sound came back clear. liver doesn’t like this drug. Also I notice my heart rate when sitting drops under 60 as low as 51. cardiologist was called and he said not to worry about it go to bed. I felt faint and dizzy when this happened.

I have been on 5mg twice a day for about three weeks and feel like crap again. I told the cardiologist I would rather stay 2.5 mg twice day because 8 didn’t feel well on 5mg x2. he said eliquis did not cause those side effects and it was just my anxiety about increasing the dosage and if I don’t take it I could get a blood clock and have a stroke. love the fear ... I know I need to do something until the weight comes off which I thiught at least I could handle the 2.5mg. Does the 2.5 x2 offer some protection?

I have always used homeopathy and would also like to find some herb that thins the blood dealing with this enzyme that cause blood clots .

I had injured my left leg from the knee down three time in a short period of time and did develop a clot. This was about 7 years ago.

I workout twice a week at cardiac phase III and have my heart monitor once a month while exercising which are good.

Any answers regarding the above would be appreciated.

Hello

After going through the medical details provided by you I would like to tell you that

1. There is no scientific trial or study that shows that it’s safe to take Eliquis along with Thuja ( Thuja is a homeopathic medicine)

2. Regarding the dosage of aliquis I would like to go with the opinion of your previous cardiologist to keep the dose of Eliquis to 2.5 MG twice a day. So in my opinion you can switch back to 2.5 mg after having a word with your previous cardiologist.

I hope this information will guide you properly

Kind Regards

Thank you just found my way into the response that was offered to me today.

I did call my electrical cardiologist before I saw your response. I am waiting for his reply since we have to go through the nurse first. Hopefully I will hear back tomorrow.

Would you or do you work with any functional medicine or know anyone who does that is a cardiologist or ND that can suggested a herb that will thin the blood natural working with Xa factor / enzyme like Eliquis does?

Brief Answer:
Hello again

Detailed Answer:
First of all Apologies for the delayed response.

Yes there are few herbs that have blood thinning effect like

1. Turmeric
2. Garlic
3. Ginger
4. Ginkgo biloba

However the potency of the substances are good just for primary prevention purposes. As in your case you already had AFIB before so it’s not advisable to use these as a substitute to your main allopathic medicine.

Hope this information will answer your query

thank you for your response.

I did hear back from the Cardiologist's PA. They said my symptoms had nothing to do with Eliquis.

I guess they know my body better than me
.
So my choice are to stay on 5mg 2x day or risk the possibility of having a stroke.

Really.

Now I am left with the choice to remove myself from Eliquis all together to eliminate the side effects I experience and as they say have a stroke. Wonderful options.

At lost were to go now. I guess I am on for the next search in how to thin my blood and prevent a stroke.

Brief Answer:
Hello again

Detailed Answer:
You should continue with cpap along with 2.5 mg of eliquis safely. Taking 2.5 twice is way safer than not to take at all.

Also maintain healthy lifestyle habits by following good dietary routine along with daily morning walks.
