Unusual Noise Come From The Back Of My Neck

Question: Occasionally I hear/feel a repeating type of noise seems to come from the back of my neck. Asked my oto doctor, he suggested tinnitus so I took hearing test I have some HF roll off (expected amount for a 65 yr old male not sure how that relates to tinnitus, though). He asked if it went with heart beatI don't think it does but I'm not sure.It comes and goes.
