Well looking into your problem of frequent urination during daytime specially can be due to multiple causes . Since you didn't mention any other relevant history like burning in urination ,any hematuria , fever , bed wetting , any urgency etc. it will be very difficult to delineate the problem .
But still we can discuss the possibilities . One thing is that you may be suffering from prostatic hypertrophy that is BPH (Benign prostatic hyperplasia) which is a major cause of urinary frequency in aged males. Diabetes can also lead to similar problems . overactive bladder may result in all these problems.
I advise you to see a urologist for your problem and get urine routine microscopy and cultures, USG prostate , Cystoscopy, urodynamic studies.as advised by your treating doctor . It is very important to rule out malignancy which can also present with these symptoms at this age so I advise you to seek urgent medical attention for this problem and get yourself thoroughly evaluated as early as possible .
