Very Fatigued Had Flu Last Month. Alertness Get Better In

Giving another week or two for the fatigue to settle is advisable
Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome to "Ask a Doctor" service,
I carefully read your query and here is my advice:
Very likely your fatigue is due to the flu you just had. Viral infections can cause fatigue for a few weeks after the infection is gone.
This is the case especially if the check you had with the doctor showed no abnormalities, but normal lung and heart examination and normal blood pressure.
I understand your concern related to blood tests, but generally tests are not needed at this stage.
In your case it might be advisable to make sure you eat frequent small amount of food during the day so to give your body enough energy to recover.
Drinking plenty of fluids and keeping hydrated is important as well.
Even though you are fatigued, it is not recommended to just lay in bed all the time as this may make your fatigue worse.
Try to do some activities like taking frequent walks from one room to the other and if you can walk a few minutes outside of the house, do this a few times a day.
If you notice no improvement in 2 weeks or you are getting any worse, then you will need to see your doctor again and tests might be considered at this time. Any fever, shortness of breath or chest pain indicates urgent need to see the doctor.
I hope this answers your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Antoneta Zotaj,
