Want Medical Consultation/second Opinion Had Continuous Diarrhea For 10 Months
Question: Consultation wanted from Vietnam
I am an 81-year old XXXXXXX male living in Vietnam permanently. I have had continuous diarrhea for 10 months. In Vietnam, in this case, the Doctors treat the symptoms not the disease. I have had many tests. I want to send all of the tests and other information to a Doctor for diagnosis and then proper treatment. Do you have a Gastroenterologist listed as a specialty; if not, what do you recommend? I am, of course, willing to pay for the medical consultation/second opinion. Will you take my case?

Brief Answer:
Diabetic gastroparesis.
Detailed Answer:
Hi again and sorry for a bit delayed reply,
I don't know why gastroenterologist is not telling you about gastroparesis.
Sir your HBA1C is above 10.
Your diabetes is out of control.
Loose motions are not related to any infection or polyp rather it's due to your uncontrolled diabetes.
Diabetes destroys the nerve supplying a particular area.
As the nerves get destroyed neither does proper absorbtion of water takes places from digested good neither is food digested properly.
Strong suggestion to keep your HBA1C at less then 6.1
You need to increase doses of insulin with proper monitoring to keep your fasting at the most below 126mg/do and post prandial less then 140mg/do....
Unfortunately gastroparesis is irreversible but atleast proper control of blood sugar would delay further gastroparesis.
Follow ups are welcome.
Reagrds!
