Brief Answer:
Viral gastroenteritis. Self limiting in nature.

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thanks for asking question on "Ask a Doctor" forum.
Have seen your reports dear.
Most likely its gastroenteritis. Gastroenteritis is caused by viral infection(Nova virus) and is self limiting in nature. It would take five to seven days for your gut to completely recover.

As all tests are normal I would suggest you to take compete bed rest for 3-5 days.
Eat very light home cooked vegetarian food.
For fatigue tiredness etc take lots and lots of oral rehydration solution.
When our gut is infected by virus there is severe inflammation in intestines hence intestines stops absorbing electrolytes like sodium potassium chloride etc causing myalgia fatigue etc.
Drink lots of ORS and Coconut water.
Along with it take Fybrogel husk and VSL#3 probiotic,It
would hasten up the recovery by promoting growth of good bacteria's in gut.
Final suggestion,
Take bed rest.
Eat light and easily digestible food.
Drink plenty of water and electrolytes to maintain rehydration.
Monitor pulse and blood pressure twice daily through automatic machine.
Have the doctors at hospital prescribed you any medicines?
Hope I was helpful,
Follow ups are welcome,
Thank you.

Detailed Answer:
Hi there,
When ever a person is dehydrated RBC hemocrit Hemoglobin etc would be elevated.
Simple example -Consider RBC as Sugar particles. Suppose you mix 50 sugar particles in 100 ml water but after that you remove 20 ml of water from the solution then the concentration of sugar particle would become higher despite of the fact that number of sugar particles are still same ( when you loose water the amount of fluid decreases however the number of Red blood cells are still same so on testing RBC hemoglobin etc would be elevated) Dehydration is the only reason for that. Same is true for calcium albumin etc.
WBCs are elevated due to infection
just follow the advice given earlier and you would feel much better in 1-3 days.
Thank you.

Brief Answer:
Follow up.

Detailed Answer:
Hello and thank you for follow up,
Please try to understand that not all cases of dehydration presents with vomiting and diarrhea.
Actually only 40% patients have this presentation.
Rest 60% presents with nausea abdominal pain fatigue malaise letharge etc.
Secondly Dehydration is mild moderate and severe .So by dehydration I didn't meant that it was severe or life threatening dehydration.
So don't panic.
Thirdly please understand that if you were not dehydrated or fluid imbalance was not there then why were you given saline solution?
What's the role of saline solution?
Answer is to replete depleted fluids.
Hope you can understand please feel free to follow up.
