Brief Answer:
Continue with steroids but keep a watch on progress of symptoms

Detailed Answer:
Hi....
Welcome to "Ask a Doctor"service.
I am Dr Ajeet XXXXXXX

I have gone through your query and here is my opinion.

Short term methylprednisolone is used very frequently in the treatment of sinus infection primarily due to their anti inflammatory role.

Short course of steroids are usually free from side effects and are hardly harmful, if dose is not exceeded.

Methylprednisolone will almost certainly make you feel better.
Steroids have an anti allergic, anti inflammatory role, reduces swelling and redness, reduces polyp size and alleviate pain.

They should be taken postmeals to avoid gastritis.
It might cause a bad after taste and some patients might have irritability, mood change and dizziness.

As methylprednisolone is very rewarding in your case, you can restart with the remaining doses to hasten the recovery but if you continue to have the symptoms of hyperactivity and irritability, just stop the course and visit your clinician for revision of the treatment regimen.

Hope that I have answered your query.

Stay healthy and stay blessed.
Regards.
