Hi my question was deleted somehow I think.
I've had dengue fever for 4 days. My fever went away yesterday. My appetite has been better and there's been no vomiting. No major symptoms just a bit of irritable bowels and I just found some light vaginal spotting. Is this bleeding the sign of a serious case of the fever or shock that could be an emergency?

Brief Answer:
If you were not due for your periods, then please check platelets
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Welcome to Ask a Doctor.
If Dengue fever was confirmed and you were not due for your periods, then vaginal spotting is an indicator of low platelet counts and the dengue could be turning into dengue hemorrhagic fever.
In which case you will require close monitoring and treatment.
I suggest you to get your platelet counts checked and consult with your doctor.
Best wishes
