I was bitten by a tick with a white spot on its back. I googled and found that it is most likely a lone star tick. It looks like those ticks are not carriers of Lyme disease, and the most common effect from that kind of bite is a flu-like illness. Should I be tested for Lyme Disease or take any other precautions right now? I am currently in fine health and not exhibiting any symptoms.
