Brief Answer:
Tinnitus.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thank you for your query.
1. The noise is known as Tinnitus.
2. Since it is a rumbling or beating noise, please check if the rhythm is matching your heartbeat. If so, then it is Pulsatile Tinnitus.
3. Also check if the sound varies on clenching the jaws tightly.
4. Kindly upload the image of your hearing test and also of an Impedance Audiogram (Tympanogram), if possible.
Awaiting your reply regarding the rhythm and any change in the sounds on clenching the jaws.
I hope that I have answered your query. If you have any further questions, I will be available to answer them.
Regards.

Is there any medicine for this cause the noise is annoying me? Also, why did I all of a sudden get this?
I can’t say the pulsing goes along with my heartbeat it’s all over the place then it can spasm too and and go really fast.
What is a treatment plan?

Hi,
Thank you for following up.
1. There is no specific medication for Tinnitus. Almost all people at some point in their lives experience Tinnitus. Tinnitus does not have a cure, however, it may be controlled. How severe is your tinnitus on a scale of 1 to 10?
2. Identification and treatment of the cause/s may help reduce Tinnitus.
3. If it is not matching your heartbeat, it is not pulsatile Tinnitus.
4. Sudden appearance of Tinnitus can a happen with as simple a reason such as ear wax build-up, to complex conditions where there is no apparent hearing loss. Middle ear pressure changes, hearing loss are also ruled out by the above mentioned tests. Jaw joint problems, myoclonus (muscle spasms) can also cause Tinnitus. Get your ears examined to rule out any ear wax which is one of the commonest causes of Tinnitus. Also get your middle ear pressures checked (Impedance Audiometry or Tympanometry).
5. I use a high frequency audiometer to identify the frequencies affected and use Tinnitus Retraining Therapy.
6. Tinnitus may be treated in up to 50% people with steroids, gingko biloba, multi-vitamins and anti-oxidants. Steam, anti-allergy medication and decongestants can help.
7. Kindly let me know the results of your investigations. This will help in suggesting further treatment.
8. I must emphasise that in a vast majority of patients of tinnitus, the cause is never found. However there are further treatment options depending on the type of tinnitus.
I hope that I have answered your query. If you have any further questions, I will be available to answer them.
Regards.
