Question: Went to urgent care because of stomach discomfort, gas, and feeling of nausea. They took labs and saw everything was fine except my Amylase levels were elevated to 142. They told me it could be a sign of pancreatitis and for me to follow up with my primary. They also informed me to get prilosec OTC. My primary saw the labs and with no urgency, made an appt in 2 weeks! I dont feel pain but still feel like an upset stomach and sometimes a bit nauseated. My stressed out as i dont know whats wrong with me and how severe it is or isn't. When i looked online i saw this happens because of alcohol but i dont drink at all and I am vegan so i dont understand what would cause this

Yes , amylase is increased in pancreatitis.
in your case it is only mildly increased.
To know whether it is due to pancreatitis, CT scan. or an ultrasound scan may be done.

You are having dyspeptic symptoms. Continue taking Prilosec. Take it for four weeks.
Avoid painkiller medications.
If pain is persistent, an endoscopy and test for H.pylori infection may be done.
