What All Non-fluoroquinolone Antibiotics Are Not Supposed To Be Used By A Benzodiazepine Sensitive Patient After A Dental Work?
Question: Is nitrous oxide a gabba agonist as does it activate the gabba a receptor as I am benzo sensitive after withdrawal from them and I will need dental work.. Also what are some antibiotics that aren't in the fluoroquinolone or Quinolone family that dentists may prescribe as I can not have them.
Brief Answer:
No.
Detailed Answer:
Hello!
I have gone through your question and I understand your concerns but Nitrous oxide exerts it's action as an antagonist of N-methyl-D-aspartate (NMDA) receptor and not through the GABA receptors.
The most commonly used non-flouroquniolone antibiotic is Amoxicillin-Clavulanic acid.
Hope I have answered your question.
