What Are Best Quantities Ibugesic Plus 5 Ml ?
Question: "My daughter is 3.5 yrs old and is suffering from high. fever from Wednesday onwards. I am giving her ibugesic plus 5 ml evertime she gets fever 102-103 which is every 4 hrs. today she is getting fever back in 5 hrs....no specific reason for fever , she doesn't have cough or cold. I have few questions 1. can we give so much ibugesic ? 2. any other treatment to get fever in control as everytime fever goes more then 101-103 and then it take time to settle.

If no other symptoms apart from fever, and she is active when afebrile, we need not worry much - this might be a simple viral illness. Hopefully it will settle in 3-4 days.
I will address your queries one by one:
1. can we give so much ibugesic ?
Ibugesic can be given upto 4 times a day/every 6 hours. This can be given for 3-4 days.
2. any other treatment to get fever in control as every time fever goes more then 101-103 and then it take time to settle:
A better option would be to give plain Paracetamol first (Syrup Fepanil 250 as per weight), and then give plain Ibuprofen(not ibugesic plus) after 1 hour if fever is not coming down. Give only after food to avoid gastritis.
Also, tepid sponging would add to the effect of Paracetamol/Ibuprofen
If fever is persisting beyond 3-4 days, or if additional symptoms appear, we can evaluate further for any cause.
