Stomach is described as a magic box..because of the varied organs placed in this big cavity in our body.So the vague question like'stomoch pain is very difficult to guess&answer specifically
* stomach pain any where in abdomen can be due to muscle spasm in abdominal wall.
* stomach is vaguely called as abdomen as a whole bymany people...In such a case abdominal pain any where in abdominal cavity varied organs in abdomen can be called as 'stomach pain'
*as stomach ,(apart of digestive tract) is specifically placed under rib cage in upper most middle portion of abdomen..& pain in this mostly dueto acidity,digestion problems.
Liver, gall bladder / pancreas, spleen ..all being present to left &right side of stomach ..certain problems arising from these organs can be presented as stomach pain .
* Intestines are a big pipe like organ..spread down through out abdominal cavity &so it can cause pain in any sector of abdomen(upper,lower, middle, &at both the sides of abdominal cavity.
**Now you would understand how difficult &confusing it is,to pin point cause of stomach pain with such a vague question.
**Please furnish me to pin point possible cause of your pain..by providing details of your pain ..
.1.type of pain burnig/squsing or colicky
-2.site of pain- in which part of abdomen
-3.the associated symptomsnausea,vomiting,
,loose motions, constipation/
4 -time of pain.-.weather related to food intake ,after eating certain food (spicy food)
- 5.How is your appetite/digestion/are there plenty gases
6. Any other thing you want to describe.
