Question: Four nights ago on Sunday, I started to had trouble sleeping after seeing something exciting on my iPhone. I couldn’t sleep until around 12 AM. It happened again on Monday night that I couldn’t sleep until around 12:30 AM, even after clearing my head on thoughts of urine on my body and on Tuesday night at around 12:00 AM. But last night, I couldn’t sleep at all. Is it the sign that my Thalamus is completely affected on what I saw on my phone on Sunday night or that I am starting to be diagnosed with a Fatal Familial Insomnia?

Hello. I understood all that. It’s just that every time I grew tired and went to sleep, I have a hard time trying to fall asleep. I took another 5 mg melatonin, equaling to 10 mg, and it sometimes help me too. But one time, I almost swallowed two of the 5 mg pills accidentally, but managed to spit one of them out. Anyway, I think my thalamus inside my brain must be preventing me from trying to fall asleep even when I’m tired. What causes the thalamus from preventing me from trying to fall asleep in minutes?
