What Are Side Effects Of Over Dosed Eliquis?

Question: I mistakenly took two 5 mg Eliquis tabs tonight. My normal dosage is 5 mg in the morning and 5 mg in the evening. Should I take any action?

Skip today morning dose.

Detailed Answer:
Dear Friend.
Welcome to HCM. I am Dr Anshul Varshney. I have read your query in detail. I understand your concern.

This is an anti coagulant drug. This has a predictive action. Since you are already taking 5 mg of Eliquis twice a day, so now you have to skip the morning dose of today, and to take the dose in the evening now.

Means you have taken 2 tablets yesterday night, so skip today morning dose and again take the dose in evening. And from tomorrow you would be carrying on the same dose of twice a day in morning and evening.
In case you have access to testing PT/INR, you can get it and let me know the report.

In case you notice any bleeding from any where in the body, report immediately to your doctor.
