What Are Symptoms Of ADHD?
Question: MY 15 YEAR OLD SON HAS BEEN DX WITH ADHD, ODD, AND CONDUCT DISORDER. I'M NOT SURE THE DX ARE CORRECT. WE TRIED AN INPATEINT FACILITY BECAUSE HIS PSYCHIATRIST SAID HE COULD DO MORE WITH HIM IN 1 WEEK INPATIENT THAN OUTPATIENT IN 6 MONTHS. THE PSYCHIATRIST DID NOT SEE HIM THERE BUT THE FACILITY DOCTOR SAW HIM AND GAVE HIM THE ODD AND ? CONDUCT DISORDER DX. AFTER THIS THE PSYCHIATRIST'S ATTITUDE TOWARD HIM SEEMED TO CHANGE. HE MAY HAVE ALL THIS BUT WHERE IS THE BEST PLACE TO START AND GET AN APPROPRIATE DX. HE SEEMS TO BE GETTING WORSE AND NO MEDICATION HAS HELPED HIM.

Following symptoms if present more than six month then we call it as ADHD (Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder).-
Fidget and squirm in their seats
Talk nonstop
Dash around, touching or playing with anything and everything in sight
Have trouble sitting still during dinner, school, and story time
Be constantly in motion
Have difficulty doing quiet tasks or activities.
You can take opinion of some other doctor and try methylphenidate, amphetamines after consulting with doctor.
