What Are The Cases Of Breast Cancer When Undergoing Treatment For Throat Cancer?

Question: My mom is currently being treated for throat cancer (Stage I) with radiation. She just came back from a mammogram and got a call that they found a 8mm cyst she now needs to go in for an ultrasound. She is 67 what is the possibility that it is cancer?
Brief Answer:
Chances are low
Detailed Answer:
The fact is that usually the cancer is restricted to one area, if detected early enough, and if treated well enough.
The fact also is present that the breast lesions are usually benign. However Breast is one of the most common sites of spread of malignancy in a female.
I will also say that the usg says that the lesion is a cyst. More commonly breast cancer is a lump. Cyst is like a fluid filled cavity. Lump is a solid mass.
Therefore the possibility of this lesion being malignant are relatively low.
Rest of course, all is speculation till we do a biopsy/fnac
Best of luck
