What Are The Chances Of HIV Transmission Through Unprotected Sex?

default
Posted on Wed, 11 May 2016
Question: Hello I have recently found out I had Bv which h I was treated for and chlamydia which I am going to be treated for. None of my partners I believe have HIV it was about a moth ago since I had unprotected sex but I believed I have thrush because my mouth is dry and I saw white things on my cheeks. But I has smoked marijuana the night before which I believe is the reason for this. Because I woke up with it. I took a test that took about three weeks saying I was negative but I'm so scared and have major anxiey, and feel so depressed over this.

Pap smear advised

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear, thanks for trusting health care magic.
I understand your anxiety about the issue and stress related to the same.
Smoking of marijuana puts you in a high risk category so in my opinion you need to take full treatment of infection as asked by your doctor and along with that take Pap smear test so that we have s baseline investigation which is very sensitive too.
You can discuss about the treatment or reports anytime.

Brief Answer:
Nothing to worry

Detailed Answer:
No dear weed doesn't increase chances of HIV per se but at times exchanging used needles and unprotected sexual activity with infected person under effect of weed can be the cause.
Chlamydia is treatable so don't panic.
You can get blood test done for HUZv in case very anxious.
All the best.
