Question: What are the odds of transmitting cervical hpv (i had low grade cervical dysplasia 4 years ago...the colposcopy came back normal and 3 paps since have been normal), if someone performa oral sex on me).
Also, what are the odds of contracting genital Hpv by performing oral sex on someone?

There are very less chances of transmission of HPV via oral sex to the tube of less than 1% per oral sex activity but in case the partner has caries of tooth or any inflammation in mouth due to simple sore throat or tonsillitis and even if has cracked lips, chances increase many fold and can be 5-10%
Chances are much higher if partner has immunodeficiency due to any reason so it cannot be quantified.
But since you have had normal pap smear tests and a normal colposcopy chances of transmission are low only.

Thank you, dr. XXXXXXX That answer was helpful. Do i need to mention the abnormal pap smear from 2011 to my current boyfriend of 8 months? Pap from 2014 was fine and i honestly forgot about the abnormal pap ubtil transfered my medical records last week, was reminded of it and then became concerned
