default
Posted on Wed, 11 Mar 2015
Question: Wore a condom and received oral sex from prostitute, now paranoid about syph, GN & chlam from saliva that would have gone past coverage of the condom, and potential into my perineal area.

I'm ready to take a z-pack and get IM PCN but want to know does it matter how long after exposure to take these meds?

I have no dysuria or other symptoms, just panicked- thanks

Hi
Thank you for query. I am Dr Bharatesh D Basti answering your query.
Welcome to Health care magic.
I have gone through the details and can make out your anxiety.

STDs transmission by blow job is rare except for herpes simplex virus .As condom was used there is almost no possibility of transmission of STDs.
In Uncovered areas thete is possibility of herpes, if person had active lesions. Otherwise no possibility.
Syphilis,Gonorrhea ,chlamydia are most unlikely in the given situation.
There is no need of any prophylactic treatment required.
Usually symptoms will manifest by 2 weeks.I think the person too did not have any oral manifestations. You can allay fears of STDs.
You can get back for any clarification
Thank you
