What Are The Chances Of Cancer If Severe Dysplasia Is Found In The Lymph Nodes?

Question: If severe dysplasia (CIN III) is found in glands that my doctor had to remove during a LEEP procedure to remove CIN I, CIN II, and CIN III on my cervix, does that mean it is more likely to change into cancer as opposed to not being found in my glands? Or are the glands irrelevant?

Yes, I believe she was referring to lymph nodes when she said she took out "glands" that had severe dyplasia.

Glands would be difficult to remove under local anesthesia for LEEP. I recommend you ask her what she meant by that for precision. Commenting on something not well defined may be more misleading than helpful.

Follow up: Dr. Ivo Ditah (3 hours later)

She actually did the LEEP (surgery, that's what she called it) while I was under general anethesia. She said she couldn't do local because there was too much to take off of my cervix. That it was all over the cervix. So today when I got my pathology report for this LEEP it said there was no indication of invasive carcinoma but she said she had to take it out of my glands/nodes because it (CIN III) had spread to the cervical canal. It wasn't just on the cervix. Does that make more sense?
