Question: Hi doctor
I am 38 yrs.old and having a bicornuare uterus. I have a daughter also of 6 yes. Now again I want to get pregnant.

My doctor did HSG and found my tubes are still open but having two uterus. And said still hopes are there. She has given HMG 150 two days and HCG 10,000 on 25.dec. Yesterday (27.DEC) I had IUI but she told me to have intercource at least two days. The same night we couldn't make this happen but next day we did twice. Was it necessary to intercource the same night of IUI ?

My doctor has given me Gestum 200 and Mbryo for 10 days. What is the chances to have preganancy ? And how to take Gestum 200 to make it more effective ? Was it necessary to intercource the same night of IUI ?

Please suggest.

Brief Answer:
fair chance to conceive

Detailed Answer:
Hello Mrs XXXXXXX no it wasn't mandatory that night. But its good that you did that next day.
You have Fair enough chances as you already have a child and open tubes.
Fertility potential stays same for normal and bicornuate uterus, just that the rate of preterm delivery is more in bicornuate uterus. Its better if you take the progesterone (gestum 200) vaginally as better dose delivery and site specific delivery is there.
Lets hope for the best.
