Brief Answer:
It is not true

Detailed Answer:

Hello,

There is nothing to worry. Cancer of urethra is very rare and risk factor for its development is chronic urinary tract infection. There is no definite evidence that stricture causes cancer.

Feel free to ask further.
Thanks
Regards

Brief Answer:
No, there is no risk due to stricture

Detailed Answer:

Hello,

Traumatic strictures have not been related to cancer. You should not have undue worry. Very rarely a cancer can develop near a stricture but that is on its own. There is no contribution of stricture to cancer.

Thanks.

Brief Answer:
Interpretation is different for articles

Detailed Answer:

Hello,

As I said, there is nothing worry. Articles do not prove a causal association between cancer n stricture. Moreover the primary cause of stricture, which is chronic inflammation can cause cancer, but not traumatic stricture as in your case. Still, the incidence of cancer is very low.

Feel free to ask further.
Thanks.
