Brief Answer:
The chances of pregnancy are very less

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thanks for writing to us about it.

I can understand your concern here.

The prospects of pregnancy are very less in your case because the type of sexual activity you were involved does not cause pregnancy and you had I-pill within time and you will get your period after that episode.

Delayed menses may be due to side effect of I-pill because I-pill contains high dosages of hormone in it which may cause hormonal imbalance and menstrual irregularities.

But to confirm it or to relive your anxiety you should go for a home urine pregnancy test to rule out pregnancy.

Please revert back to me with your test results.

Hoping to hear from you soon.

Good luck.

Okay Doc.

1. Doc if the test result is negative, if its hormonal imbalance den wen is my menses expected? like after taking the pill my periods started on 25th day itself and now its been 43 days since my last menses. do i need to take some medicine or how much i have to wait for the menses?

2. And if the test result is positive, den what would u prescribe me for terminating it.

Brief Answer:
Period can delay for one to two week.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Sorry for the long delay in my response.

Here are the answers to your queries.

1) Hormonal imbalance can affect 2-3 cycles after taking I-pill.
It may delay menses for 1-2 weeks.
You should wait for another 2-3 days of menses if test results are negative, then conferred with your treating doctor and get your ultrasound test done to rule out the cause.

2) If test results are positive, then consulted your treating physician for the abortion pill because abortion pills can only be taken under supervision.

Hope it is useful.

Do accept my answer if no further query.

Good luck.

Brief Answer:
Consult a gynecologist.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Sorry for delay in my response, my Internet is not working properly.

The chances of pregnancy are not there as your test results are negative 17 days after your missed period date.

Period is delayed may be due to hormonal imbalance. (Due to I-pill)

You can consult a gynecologist and get yourself examined and ultrasound pelvis done to rule out the cause. Doctor would give medications to induce periods.

Hope it is useful, feel free to ask more.

Good luck.
Regards
Dr.Richa
