What Are The Chances Of Pregnancy Despite Having Birth Control Pill Post Sex?

Question: Hello, this past weekend I went out of town and forgot my birth control pills. Friday and Saturday's pills were week 4 and contained inactive ingredients; however, Sunday's pill was the beginning of a new pack and had active ingredients. I was supposed to take it Sunday night at 10:30pm but took it until Monday morning at 8:30am. Later that day I had unprotected sex and my partner ejaculated inside me. My pill brand is Chateal and the directions claim that no additional contraceptive is needed if one pill is missed; however, it also said that missing the first pills in the pack could result in pregnancy. I am very concerned as to whether I should take an emergency contraceptive pill or not. Thank you so much for your time and advice.
Brief Answer:
No need for emergency pill.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for trusting us with your health concern.
You have delayed the first pill intake by less than 12 hours. Now you can have the second pill in the evening at 10.30 PM as scheduled. Since it was the very first pill there is no need to worry. You are still protected against pregnancy in case you do not forget any other pill from the current pack. There is no need to take an additional emergency contraceptive pill.
Please feel free to discuss further. I will be glad to answer the follow up queries that you have.
