What Are The Chances Of Pregnancy Despite Having Contraceptive Pills Post Unprotected Sex?
Question: Hi, I am after a little advice. I have had 2 emergency contraceptive pills in one cycle due to condoms breaking. They were about a week apart. I have since then had a period that was quite a bit lighter and shorter than normal. Last week another condom broke but we believe that we were safe and nothing happened. I know it would be to late to use an emergency contraceptive pill but wondering what the chances are of getting pregnant if we believe nothing happened and if you had any advice regarding this situation.

Irregular periods are known after taking emergency contraceptive pills. If you have sex after 1 week of getting your periods then you are safe and it is unlikely that you will get pregnant. Please get a urine pregnancy test after 3 weeks to be sure.

Medical termination of pregnancy is possible the moment but for that one has to be pregnant in the first place. Taking emergency contraceptive pills are of no use now. I recommend you to be patient and just wait for your periods, in case of delayed periods get a urine pregnancy test.
I dont think you have anything to worry about, just be calm and relax for now.
