What Are The Chances Of Pregnancy Post Tubal Ligation?
Question: Hi i am actually asking on behalf of a friend. She is in her mid 40s and had her tubes tied about 10 years ago. Two weeks ago she had unprotected sex and is very worried that she may be pregnant. She cant remember the date of her last period but thinks her next period is due around this time. She has no symptoms as of right now but is very worried. It will be 18 days since she had sex and is planning on taking a home pregnancy test then would this be too early to take the test?
Brief Answer:
No chance of pregnancy
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
I understand your concerns about possibility of pregnancy.
Considering her age and tied tubes , I don't see any possibility of pregnancy.
She can test for pregnancy using home pregnancy kit about 1 week after missed period from the date of expected periods.
However I absolutely see no chance of pregnancy.
Let me know if you need any more help.
Regards
