Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX
Thanks for the query.
I understand your concern.
Poly cystic ovary syndrome presents with symptoms like irregular menstrual cycles, anovulation, insulin resistance, excess growth of hair on face etc due to gonadal hormonal imbalance, excess androgen levels.
If hormonal imbalance is severe that can lead to infertility.
By decreasing the weight and taking treatment with insulin sensitizers, hormonal pills etc, severity of PCOD can be decreased to some extent.
As you have taken hormonal pills in format of Krimson 35 and cetapin XR as insulin sensitizer, there drugs might have decreased the severity of PCOD and at present you are having no cysts in ovaries.
Now as you are not able to conceive naturally since December, better to go for ovulation induction drugs.
By taking ovulation induction drugs between 2nd and 6th day of menstrual cycle and undergoing follicular studies by ultrasound from 11th day of cycle, the time of ovulation can be correctly estimated and intercourse can be planned during that period.
This will increase the possibility of pregnancy.
Better to check the seminal parameters of your husband to rule out male factor abnormalities.
Folic acid tablets are recommended from three months before expected pregnancy. So, you can continue them.
You can prefer natural micronized progesterone tablets and can stop cetapin once you conceive.
Hope I have answered your query. I will be available to answer follow up queries.
Take care.
