What Are The Chances Of Pregnancy When Suffering From PCOS?

Question: Hi, I am 31 year old female!! I have been told for many years now that i have PCOS!! I have 2 beautiful girls!! Age 8 and 3, The 1st one was a XXXXXXX and the second one we tried for 2 years to get pregnant!! But the reason I am asking today is about this...... I am having period like cramps and i just finished my period 5 days ago!?!? What could cause this? During my last period it was less than normal and dark brown blood and not much red? Should i be concerned or is this ok? I am taking birth control pills to regulate my system because before i started taking these pills about a year and half ago, i only had a period about once maybe twice a year!!
Brief Answer:
urine pregnancy test
Detailed Answer:
Hi, I understand your health concerns.
You need to Di a urine pregnancy test as soon as possible as your period was light and you are again having cramps in abdomen.
It can be an early pregnancy or worse tubal ectopic pregnancy.
Do the test and then we can discuss further management
All the best.

I am on the birth control pill and when having intercourse we always use protection with a condom! I don't honestly think this is it! I wonder if it could be pcos related?
Brief Answer:
ultrasound advised
Detailed Answer:
Yes it can be related to PCOD and I hope it is but in case it is due to pregnancy then it needs to be taken care at the earliest.
As you told me in your follow up that you use protection along with pills, it has reassured me that the chances of pregnancy are negligible.
So now best line of further management is to get an ultrasound done to see for endometrial thickness and ovarian volume.
In case all these are fine and its just the PCOD part then there is nothing to worry and keep taking your pills as before.
In case you have other questions I will be happy to help.
