Question: Hi,

i have got married recently.
when i and my partner engaged in foreplay, there are times he has got wet. If he touch my vagina with his penis after he has got wet are there chances that i will get pregnant?.
we have not,had penetrative sex till now

No chance of pregnancy

Hello dear, non penetrative sexual activity cannot cause pregnancy because of inability of the sperms to thrive in outside environment and also obstructed entry due to intact hymen.
But in case you want to have intimate moments and penetrative sex then use condoms or oral pills.
Both are safe and will be helpful in preventing unwanted pregnancy.

i had few more questions.

i have shivering sensation in my legs and get pain in breasts some days before period at times.
is it normal and usually how many days before period starts will these above symptoms occur?

yes mam it is very common to have these symotoms which start around 6-7 days before periods but are maximum around 2-3 days prior to periods.

i have pcos ..so my periods some times come around 45 days. Is it ok to have 45 day gap always or should i start taking some medication?

this time i am having slight breast discomfort for 2 weeks ..is this long ok?
the shivering and tiredness started 3 days back.

can i track my periods based on vaginal discharge?

Hello dear, its alright to have prolonged periods as they are coming on their own.
But I will suggest you to take tablet ginette 35 which is an oral contraceptive pill and will help you by
- regulation of periods
- treat PCOD
- contraceptive benefit.
You can take it every month till you want to conceive.
Breast tenderness is usually seen for around 5-7 days but in patients with PCOD it can persist longer so nothing to worry
Yes you can predict your periods by the status of vaginal discharge and breast tenderness but that is very vague and may be misleading at times.
Start these pills instead because they will accurately tell the time of expected periods.

I had one followup ques before closing the discussion.
I have hair loss and doctor has prescribed me a tablet which has saw palmetto and biotin.
I read somewhere that saw palmetto might cause delay in periods.
Is it true or shall i continue taking them ?

Hello dear, I appreciate your knowledge.
Palmetto can definitely cause delay in periods and even intermenstrual spotting.
But palmetto does above mentioned things because it decreases the level of estrogen in body by accelerated excretion of estrogen, but in your case you already have PCOD which is an estrogen excess state of body so your cycles will not be affected by the presence of palmetto.
