Question: Hii Dr V P Y K XXXXXXX my son is diagnosed and treated for VUR/PUV 2 years ago.what are the chances of recurrence of the same?

The chances of recurrence of Posterior urethral valves after endoscopic fulguration are zero.

This is because,the valves are completely destroyed during the process of fulguration.

No further treatment is needed from here except a simple follow up through a MCUG/micturition cystourethrography and a renal ultrasound on annual basis.

The disease as its congenital/developmental in origin, least chances of recurrence post fulguration.
