What Are The Complications Associated With Closed Patent Ductus Arteriosus?
Question: I had PDA closure when I was 7 years old. What is the complication most likely I can have with growing age and what all measure I should be taking care.
Brief Answer:
Depends on what was the picture at the time of surgery
Detailed Answer:
Generally if pda is surgical closed at early age without much of heart enlargement and no residual PDA after surgery than there is generally no sequels. And don't need any major precaution other than having an echo once in about two years. But if you have had any heart wreaking before the surgery or pulmonary hypertension or residual shunt they require different measures. Please send me all the reports that you have
