What Are The Complications In The Insertion Of A Heart Catheter?

default
Posted on Fri, 16 Jan 2015
Question: hello Dr. Shehu, I went to urologist like you advised and he said that this problem cannot be caused by heart XXXXXXX He said that it was not caused by infection. I ask why then did my doctor put me on 3 different anti bodies he said he had no Idea why. He said this is usally caused by vasectomy and will go away in about 2 weeks. I informed him that this has been going on for over 3 month and I had never had a vasectomy and he said it will go away in a couple of weeks and to come back in a month and see him. I seen him on 12-9-2014 and so far there is no change in the problem I am having and it is not getting any better. Are these guys covering for each other? They all say they have never heard of a heart XXXXXXX causing this and there is no way it possible could. Are there other people this has happened to? I find it hard to believe I am only one to ever have this problem and none of the doctors I have seen seem to have a clue as to what is causing this. Thank you again, XXXX

Brief Answer:
These complications are rarely happening...

Detailed Answer:
Hi back XXXXXXX

I can only say that your symptoms may be indicative for possible complication after heart XXXXXXX

I can admit that these complications are rarely happening (or haven't been reported jet). In your case, I suspect that it would have occurred damage of aorta and/or femoral arteries during the procedure that has resulted in the thrombosiss of testicular arteries of that side (accidental vasectomy).

That's why I asked to consult with an urologist and go deeper and investigate. Angio-Ct-scan of the abdomen is advised to determine the final diagnosis.

Once again, if I was your caring doctor would go deeper and ask urologist to run further tests to determine whether your symptoms are due to complications from accidental vasectomy during heart XXXXXXX

If your actual urologist won't listen, can ask to have your medical records analyzed by another urologist (another clinic).

All the best!
