What Are The Consequences Of Liver Cirrhosis With Dengue Fever?

Mild fever may not worsen your liver function
Detailed Answer:
Hi dear. Thanks for giving me an opportunity to address your query.
According to me clinical manifestations of dengue are generally due to a multifactor condition, associated with direct aggression by dengue virus.Severe dengue (with cirrhosis) can provoke acute hepatitis, such as pain in the right hypochondrium, hepatomegaly, jaundice and elevated liver enzyme levels and finally results in liver failure.
Dengue fever (less virulent form) with cirrhosis is usually self limiting(under proper medical/nursing care) and managed symptomatically.According to me, if the fever subsides (gradual increase in platelet count & improvement of jaundice and liver functions-positive indicator for recovery) this may not worsen the existing function of the liver.
The manifestation of dengue is highly unpredictable and cannot be anticipated and proper nursing care with symptomatic management often results in good clinical outcomes.
Hope this answers your query.
