Question: What are the contraindications of ivermectin cream(1%) when used on the face (around the mouth and chin area) to treat rosacea?

There are no contraindications for topical use of ivermectin 1%. But there are some precautions I usually want my patients to know before use.

These precautions include; Use a pea sized amount of the cream for each area of the face i.e. for each of the cheeks, chin, nose, forehead. Spread it as a thin layer over the area, and avoid contact to eyes and lips.
