What Are The Effects Of Hallucinogenic Drugs Overuse?
About a week later I started to feel strong regret and anxiety for what I had done to my body and the serious risks I've exposed myself to. It went in a down going spiral from there and I started to feel chronic headache, panic/anxiety attacks, psychogenic pain, delusions, nightmares, dyspnoea and isolation from my environment.
Today, another six months have passed. I have been sober and have a much more healthy diet and life-style than before. But, what I've exposed my body to still hurts my soul at some point everyday. Sometimes the sorrow and regret takes over. I think about my body and that it could have lost the struggle. I feel as my organs are "weaker" now and less effective, because of how hard they had to work with heavy drugs in the system. And that they might have some underlying damage I cannot notice as this point.
My main questions are:
A: What can I do to get over this personal trauma? I am mainly looking for advice about what I can do on my own (ways to think, steps, online guides)
B: It is important for me to know if how likely it is that my vital organs may be weaker or less effective than before. Can the organs repair themselves to some degree, in the same way as a wound?
(I would to add my age, 19)
You are normal,need only counseling
Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXXXXX
Thanks for writing to us.
very well narrated problem.I appreciate your efforts and decision to stop such drugs.
Answers of your questions are described in below explanation.
You are not aware about drugs which you have taken and dose of it. Important point is you have taken once every 3-4 weeks and that is only for 6 months. This suggests whatever symptoms you have suffered are due to intoxication(excessive intake of a substance in single day).
You are physically absolutely fine means drug has already cleared from your body and it has not made any effects on your vital organs.
So you are absolutely fine. You need to digest above explanation clearly and every time when negative thoughts come in your mind, you have to actively think that you have no problem and you have already done great job by stopping use of drugs. By doing so everytime, gradually negative thoughts will decrease and stop.
For more assurance if you feel, just do some investigation to check your vital organ functioning like EKG, CBC, LFT, RFT, chest xray and ultrasound abdomen. I am sure that all would be normal. If you can believe, you even need not to go for such investigations.
Even after doing above measures, if you can not get rid of your problem, you need one detail counseling session with psychiatrist.
Hope I have answered your query, I will be happy to help further.

Dr.Chintan Solanki.
