Brief Answer:
Why were prohomones prescribed?

Detailed Answer:
Hi dear.Thanks for your query.

I would be glad to know some more information.

Are you talking about external supplements? Were these prohormones prescribed by your doctor? What is the reason for taking prohormones?

I would like to know the name/brand of prohormones to suggest if there is any specific interaction of these with Zocor.

Seldom interaction with your lipid modulators and antihypertensive medication levels will be unpredictable though.

You may continue the same treatment as prescribed by your physician.

Brief Answer:
I donot recommend them with above medication

Detailed Answer:
Hi dear. Thanks for sharing the information and writing me back.

Designer supplement like the one above contains various metabolites of testosterone and estrogen can possibly interact with statin therapy(since they get metabolized in liver). There is very limited data about the interaction of these hormones since they are not used therapeutically.

Since these hormones can elevate your blood pressures and alter your lipids it is important to monitor both closely in case you may have take these supplements.

Furthermore the claims of such supplements are not regulated by health authorities; it becomes an important concern when they have to be combined with your blood pressure medication and lipid modulators.Hence I personally donot recommend any of these to my patients.

Hope this answers your query.

Brief Answer:
None of them are safe since they have estrogen or testosterone

Detailed Answer:
Thanks once again for writing back.

I would be glad to know the reason for taking these hormonal supplements.

I personally would not recommend these especially when you have risk factors like hypertension and hyperlipidemia since most hormonal supplements have estrogen or testosterone supplements. There are no such supplements which are safe.

You may write back for further queries.

Brief Answer:
Need some more information

Detailed Answer:
Hi dear. Thanks for writing me back.

I appreciate that you have been on a fantastic fitness regime and I agree with you that diet plays an important role to maintain a healthy physique.

A right mix of diet and exercise along with medications to keep your lipids and pressures under control is vital.Hence I would recommend a dietitian's advise at this juncture.

I would like to know some more information for a couple of suggestions from my end-
Can you elaborate your complete diet in a day? This include your composition of your meal, snacking -frequency, rough estimate of quantity etc?Veg/non-veg or What do you eat mostly?
Do you drink?Smoke?How frequent?
All the reports of tests (lipid profile- at least 2 recent tests) that you have undergone recently?
Length(time)/split of workout regime you follow?Cardio?Aerobic/Anerobic?How many days a week?

Await your reply soon.

Hi dear. Thanks for writing me back.

I can see that you have been taking a lot of protein and on a vigorous fitness regime...too vigorous.
