What Are The Effects Of Repetitive Intake Of Emergency Contraceptive Pills?

Question: Hi Doc,
Two days back, I and my girlfriend had unprotected sex. Immediately after, she had consumed the Morning After emergency contraceptive Pill. Unfortunately, however, within 12 hours, she had no choice but to consume another pill as we had unprotected sex again. Will there be complications because of the intake of two emergency pills within a span of 12 hours? Is there any chance of the failure of the pill, especially the second one, although it was taken within 12 hours of the second round of unprotected sex? When she took the first pill, she felt extreme dizziness, but with the second one, the dizziness was mild and almost non-existent. What could be the possible reason for that? Thirdly, since yesterday, she is experiencing pain in the vagina and lower abdomen? Could it be UTI? She has, however, taken antibiotics and consuming plain water regularly. Is there any other medicine that she should take?

Brief Answer:
nothing to worry
Detailed Answer:
Hello sir I understand your anxiety.
There is nothing to worry but there was no need to take another pill because emergency pill once taken is protective for another 72 hours.
She can have a little pain and bloating along with slight dizziness due tablets only so don't be apprehensive.
Its good if she is taking plenty of water.
No other precaution is needed.
Just wait for her periods.
All the best
